Parisian luxury brand Hermès is embracing the digital age with the launch of a newmobile app, “Tie Break.”

Available on both iOS and Android devices, the free Tie Break app is designed as a slick sartorial distraction from the dull realities of work, travel and idle moments featuring a mix of arcade gams, cartoons, videos, and fun ‘gif-hanger’ images, all accessed by digitally ‘tugging’ on the on-screen ties.

The app also has some practical features: you can learn how to tie different knots, and also digitally try on different tie patterns against your own shirt.

If you’re happy with the look then you can snap up the ties on the integrated online store, including a tie ($195) created especially for the launch with a barcode on the back that can be scanned to take you straight to the app.

The app follows the Silk Knots app, released last year, which combined similar features themed around the brand’s famed carré scarves.
