For those who have been avid fans of the FIFA World Cup would be familiar with the luxury watch brand Hublot. The watchmaker, known being the pioneer brand ever to use a natural rubber strap, is highly sought-after by collectors and its timepieces are considered Swiss watchmaking at its finest. Timekeeping is an essential aspect in a football game as time added could determine the winner of the match. Therefore, an official timekeeper is chosen to ensure accuracy. And for four consecutive editions, Hublot has been the designed timekeeper at the FIFA World Cup.

With just days away from the official launch of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Hublot brings the spirit of the tournament to the sunny island of Singapore in an experiential pop-up at VivoCity. Aptly named “Hublot Loves Football”, the design of the exhibition is even shaped like a pentagon to resemble one of the 12 panels on a football.

Other football-related activities are also planned, like freestyle football performances by the current female Freestyle Football World Champion Lia Lewis on 18 and 19 November 2022 at 5pm and 7pm. Next, football fans can stand to test their aiming and the power of their kick at the Fast Feet section. A series of coloured panels with scores are lit up in the ring and participants compete to achieve the highest score possible.

For those not travelling to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022, Hublot has brought the official Electronic Football Substitution Board to Singapore and fans can snap a photo with it against the “Hublot Loves Football” backdrop. As part of the event, there is also a 360-degree photo booth spot and visitors will receive a GIF video they have taken in their email inbox.

At the pop-up, there is a space dedicated to 14 one-of-a-kind football designs for the new “Hublot Loves Football” campaign. Created by Lebanese fashion designer Mira Mikati for football icons like Brazilian legend Pelé, French striker Kylian Mbappé, American striker Alex Morgan and English national team manager Gareth Southgate.

Aside from the football-themed activities, the lounge area showcases Hublot watches like the Big Bang e, Big Bang Original and Big Bang Unico. Should there be any questions regarding the watches on display, watch specialists from The Hour Glass can share more about the different models.

“Football is a game that transcends nationalities and cultures. It speaks to everyone and bonds people. We are very proud and happy to partner with Hublot, the first Fine Watchmaking brand in football, to bring this love for a beautiful game to Singapore,” says Michael Tay, Group Managing Director of The Hour Glass.

“Through this exciting pop-up, we hope to engage new audience and welcome them into the world of Hublot Loves Football. We want them to experience the passion we have for the sport as well as for watchmaking with the wide variety of creations that Hublot has. There will be a suitable watch for everyone.”
