The Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter 2020 Men’s Collection at Milan Fashion Week

Depicting a story of creativity experienced by individuals throughout a generation, Dolce & Gabbana’s latest work showcases Italy’s rich heritage through the inclusion of fabrics such as wool, velvet and tweed – creating a dynamic blend between modernism and an aged aesthetic.

Exploring the dignity of labour, value of craft and the preciousness of skill, the brand aims to reinforce its influence across every generation. In an effort to celebrate the importance of careers passed down through generations – The show featured a unique presentation of Sicilian artisans bearing physical marks and scuffs whilst carrying out their craft on the runway. Each model represented a distinct class of professionals, including but not limited to, florists, shepherds and businessmen.

The Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter 2020 Men’s collection thus, brings forth the inherent beauty that exists beyond the physical allure of garments, and highlights fashion as  more than just an identity but also a platform to showcase an individual’s culture. Functional, utilitarian and unapologetically Italian at heart – the Fall Winter 2020 collection brings a refreshed take to the traditional Dolce & Gabbana man.
