As if teasing an array of timeless apparel in the form of loose-fitting jackets, louche pants with patch pockets, and calfskin leather sandals, amongst opulent bags and accessories, wasn’t enough – Artistic Director of Hermès Men’s Wear, Véronique Nichanian provided an early lesson in navigating the first-ever digital Paris Fashion Week.

An Intimate Look Behind The Scenes of The Hermes Spring/Summer 2021 Collection

Showcasing the Maison’s SS21 collection in a beautifully measured “live performance”, conceptualized in tandem with director Cyril Teste – the stream provided wildly intimate yet well-scripted behind-the-scenes footage of fey models draped in designer wear, prancing across a repurposed office before striking a pose before a multitude of camera monitors.

Methodically panning in and out, the cameras focus only on what Véronique Nichanian wants us to see – which appeared to feature a mash-up of unexpected fluorescent colors against an overall dark color palette, clean silhouettes, elastic-waist pants, and relaxed blousons with removable collars.
