Ducati Unveils An All-New High-Performance Electric Mountain Bike

Dubbed the TK-01RR, this new and improved electric bicycle showcases superior quality components such as a 12-speed drive unit and Shimano XT 4-piston brakes, alongside brand new, fully adjustable 180 mm Ohlins RXF 38 fork and 170 mm Ohlins TTX rear shock absorbers. Other enhancements include an all-new Shimano EP8 motor which weighs approximately 2.6kg and boasts pure performance packed in the lightest and most compact  magnesium casing.

Featuring a maximum torque of 85Nm and maximum servo assisted ratio of 400%, the TK-01RR pairs effortlessly with the Shimano E-tube Project App to provide outstanding customisation capabilities which adapt the bike to suit individual requirements. Powered by a 630Wh Shimano battery, integrated within the aluminium frame, the TK-01RR is able to sustain excellent levels of autonomy and prolonged enjoyment without compromising handling aspects, thanks to its low barycentre.

Its 4-piston Shimano Deore XT system paired with 203mm Shimano discs using the “ICE TECHNOLOGIES” system, bestows outstanding braking performance, which is consistent and reliable under any circumstance, whilst the “THOK DISK MOUNT” system and the rear calliper is assembled directly onto the frame for greater efficiency and powerful braking.

Characterized by a 6061 aluminium alloy frame with hydroformed, forged and CNC machined parts, the TK-01RR’s new “enduro oriented” contours, feature a verticalized seat tube (75.5°) and a 64.5° steering angle, which allow for easy manoeuvring, even amidst the roughest terrain. Its latest 1.8” tapered head tube also enables for more rigid steering when faced with the most challenging routes at maximum speed. Worth an estimated €6,990, the all-new TK01RR is currently available for pre-order online with scheduled deliveries expected to begin in June 2021.
