Architecture and design practice Heatherwick Studio has created a contemporary new distillery for gin brand .

The London design studio has transformed the historic buildings of Laverstoke Mill in Hampshire, England.

At the heart of the design is a series of bell jar-shaped greenhouses where visitors can explore 10 different botanicals.

The studio also renovated the site’s Victorian and Georgian buildings, restoring them to their former glory and transforming them into a Still House, a Heritage Room and a Gallery.

The Mill has been awarded the prestigious BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) Award for Sustainable Industrial Design.

Previously a paper mill for the Bank of England for nearly 250 years, the site is opening its doors to the public for the first time on October 1.
