Boston-based concept label Concepts (CNCPTS), part of the The Tannery of Boston and Cambridge, has worked with traditional outdoors label Sorel to create a new line of two exclusive winter boots, the Kitchener Caribou and the Sentry Leather & Tweed.

Since 1962, SOREL has been producing high-quality technical footwear designed to stand up to the worst of conditions.

The Sentry boot is apparently inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s outdoor experiences at Walden Pond, later summed up in his famous transcendetalist tome Walden.

The Kitchener Caribou mixes a more urban feel with a camo print, and is designed to be as easy to wear as a sneaker, while also being fit for the wilderness.

The boots will go on sale exclusively at high end Parisian concept store Colette on November 23.
