What is better than premium you might ask? Well, as Irish whiskey label Jameson has just informed us it would have to be super-premium. Jameson has just launched a new range of whiskeys, forming the Jameson Deconstructed Series that will be made available exclusively in Global Travel Retail. To enhance the exclusivity, Jameson enlisted the help of illustrator Greg Coulton. Each bottle comes with Coulton’s hand-drawn label illustrations that feature a ship design. Each design reflects the personality of each whiskey in the award-winning series.

Made up of the Jameson Bold, Jameson Round and Jameson Lively, each whiskey in the series represents the core attributes that make the Jameson Original a treat for the senses. Jameson promises a new twist in the taste at every turn but you’ll just have try to it to find out.

Jameson Deconstructed Series: Bold

Jameson Deconstructed Series: Bold

The Jameson Bold is said to be heavier than the Original, which only means more intensity to the flavor that we have already come to love. While it possess a higher percentage of pot still, it doesn’t stop the initial greeting of fruity notes and hints of vanilla from coming through. This sweet flavor is balanced out almost perfectly by the woodland notes and soft barley.

With Jameson Lively, the whiskey maker has combined the pot still with grain whiskey, for a sweet and fragrant mix. The sweet and spicy nature of the whiskey can be attributed to the notes of Turkish delight, lime zest and chilli oil that have roles to play in the mix. We look forward to testing Jameson on that one! The final whiskey of the series is the Jameson Round, which combines pot still and grain whiskey like the Jameson Lively. However, the grain whiskey used is matured in virgin American oak barrels, sherry butts and Maderia casks for that heightened vanilla flavor. Suitable for those who favor a rich woody flavor, the whiskey still brings out a dose of sweetness and is a perfect way to cap off a Jameson Deconstructed Series.
