
The average price of a double room in Paris hotels has surged above 200 euros per night, making the city of light more expensive than London.
The return of business travellers has fuelled a 26 percent rise in the average price of a Paris hotel room over the past year to 204 euros per night.
According to hotel price comparison website Trivago, the average price of a double room in London is 200 euros.

The view from the top of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel has been ranked the best hotel rooftop view in the world by users of price comparison website Trivago.
The luxury Dubai hotel, which offers views of the Persian Gulf from a manmade island accessible via a walkway or from the 24th floor “Uptown Bar” in the main building, topped the list of global hotels that offer impressive views.
In second place was the Lebua hotel at State Tower in Bangkok, which offers sprawling views of the Thai capital from its protruding bar on the 63rd floor.

Research by price comparison site Trivago revealed that prices in cities such as Milan jumped by 90 percent during the week of April 15-22, leaving stranded travelers to shell out €230 a night for accommodation in the city.
Although Milan was also hosting the Football Championship League Semi-Finals on April 20, the hikes were widespread across the affected area, suggests Trivago.


Travel comparison and booking site Trivago has published a list of the most popular European five-star hotels with rates under £50 (€57).
According to Trivago, the average rate at a five-star hotel in the top 50 European cities is £165 (€189).
However, the site has compiled ten destinations where guests can enjoy the trappings of five-star luxury for half that price.
