Dita Von Teese has revealed the first look of her Von Follies lingerie line, which goes on sale in 2012.
Inspired by the American burlesque dancer’s penchant for vintage underwear, the line will go on sale exclusively at Australia’s department store Target in February.
The collection, which includes high-waisted briefs, garter belts and fitted corselettes, is expected to subsequently go global.
The burlesque dancer is readying an underwear collection in everything from petite to plus-size. She announced the news via Twitter on April 13.
Von Teese said she had “just signed a new lingerie deal!!! Glam underpinnings in XS to plus-sizes! Launching in Australia, then going global shortly after. Excited!”

Jean-Paul Gaultier has produced a high-end lingerie collection for the Italian label La Perla which will be sold from November.
Other than the creator’s beloved lacy corsets, the collection will include underwear “which streams the body’s curves”, extra high-waisted pants and bustiers emphasizing the neck.
It also offers bras and bodices reflecting the cone-shaped chests of Gaultier’s suits created for Madonna in 1990.
French lingerie designer Chantal Thomass presented her first collection of mobile phone accessories in Paris amid fashion’s growing fascination with tech gadgets.
Thomass’ range includes glossy and rubber iPhone covers as well as velvet and vinyl cases, all in her signature black-and-pink, featuring lingerie themes such as lacing and bows.
