Dior - Luxury Phone

French luxury-goods company Christian Dior Wednesday will unveil a line of mobile phones, extending beyond its traditional fashion business to boost sales.
The new Dior phone, priced from €3,500 ($5,000) and up, comes after competitors such as Prada SpA and Dolce & Gabbana have turned their fashion-branded mobile phones into significant businesses. The phones will be made by a small French manufacturer, ModeLabs Group.
Dior Chief Executive Sidney Toledano says the idea of creating a Dior phone was driven by demand in new luxury markets such as China and Russia. "In the same way that we have developed our watch and jewelry lines, we want to increase sales with the phone,". He expects to sell at least 10,000 of them a year at the beginning and hopes to reach annual sales of €200 million in the longer term.
"What really convinced us was seeing the attention people in emerging markets pay to buying a phone, by selecting the color and design,". In Europe and the U.S., in contrast, phones are seen as more disposable commodities, he said.
Dior's new phone, which will work world-wide, except in Japan and Korea, where it isn't compatible with local wireless networks, is priced higher than rival fashion phones, closer to the price range of Nokia Corp.'s premium line Vertu, which also starts in the $5,000 range. Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Giorgio Armani SpA all have phones out that cost around $600.

Metallic Jeans - Dior Radioactive Denim
If you've ever felt the need to spend $600 on a pair of jeans you are in luck. Dior designed these "radioactive" men's jeans that are made of 100% cotton, in a dark wash, with a shiny metallic finish. The five pocket cut and button fly appear pretty standard, as does the slightly tapered leg, so my guess is you are paying for the unique silver "radioactive" look, unless they also repel spills.... or are wind resistant, who knows! Dior Anti-Aging L’Or De Vie Crème And Extrait
Dior’s new “Golden Skincare” line (L’Or de Vie translates to gold of life) was launched earlier this year. The reaction was immediate: stores on both sides of the Atlantic could barely keep the product in stock. With L’Or de Vie, Dior has taken anti-aging skin care to royal standards. The line is a partnership with Château d’Yquem (creators of the most mythical wine in the world) to create a wine-inspired line of pure luxury.
Dubbed “a skin care miracle”, the secret behind this wonder skin care line resides in Dior’s well-guarded formula. L’Or de Vie is the result of the extraction and transformation of vital ingredients found in certain types of vines that have the power to regenerate and improve year after year. Dior has captured these regenerative properties and has packaged them into skin care technology.
L’Or de Vie rejuvenates, re-stimulates, re-hydrates the skin and protects skin against external free-radicals. You’ll feel the difference from the first application of the skin care duo.
L’Or de Vie can be part of your regime as early as in your 30s as a prevention and rejuvenation treatment. More mature skin types will see the benefits of L’Or de Vie for its ability to re-stimulate the cells.
L’Or de Vie is a two-part treatment – L’Extrait Serum is followed by La Crème (intensive cream). L’Extrait is a pure antioxidant concentrate that acts like a veil on the skin, providing it with radiance, suppleness and elasticity. La Crème is an intensive formula that combines the antioxidant power of L’Or de Vie with Dior’s age-defying know-how. Although La Crème is very intensive, it can also be used by combination skin types.
L’Extrait sells for $420 for the 15-ml/0.5 oz. bottle and La Crème retails for $380 for the 50-ml jar. You’ll find this golden line at Holt Renfrew stores across Canada.
