Fendi Inglesina strollers

Rome-based fashion house Fendi is teaming up with Italian manufacturer Inglesina for a collection of baby accessories.

WWD reports December 23 that items including a stroller, pram and baby carrier have been designed in keeping with the fashion house’s classic style.

Featuring the brand’s iconic “F” logo and with a color palette comprising cream, mahogany and blue, the pieces will be available at selected outlets worldwide.

In 2008 Fendi teamed up with Japanese brand Aprica on infant items such as strollers and jersey-made animal puppets.

The news of their new collection follows an increasing trend for designer baby pieces. Baby Dior retails infant items such as pacifiers for $50 each.

Italian fashion house Versace recently opened its first Young Versace store in Milan, selling items such as leopard-print and Swarovski crystal baby bottles.

Meanwhile, with labels including Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta and Roger Vivier all announcing upcoming children’s collections this month, the tendency shows no sign of slowing down.
