A man of both wit and humor, Salvatore Ferragamo often experimented with art and fashion in his work. This year, the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence celebrates his progressive ethos with “Across Art and Fashion”, an exhibition centered around his fascination with the 20th century avant-garde art movement.

The rich curation of clothes, accessories, fabrics, art, perdiodicals and photographs are a collaboration with other cultural institutions such as Florence Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale and the Galleria del Costume. An exploration of the complex relationship between the two distinct worlds of art and fashion, the exhibition is an in-depth retrospective into how the Italian shoemaker inherited the best of both in his famed designs.
