Rolf Schnyder, the owner and president of Ulysse Nardin, turned 75 this year, and to commemorate his many achievements, he decided to introduce a new limited edition Freak Diavolo.
The tourbillon is impressive with its 8+ day power reserve and that a a yellow-half circle cage which serves to mark the seconds.
Note also there is no crown on the watch — the watch is wound and the time is set by turning the split-level bezel.

Officially announced one year ago, the Ulysse Nardin Chairman will be launched with Android on board – not with Windows Mobile, as initially planned.
It will be the world’s first luxurysmartphone to run Google’s OS.
Manufactured by Swiss watch maker Ulysse Nardin in collaboration with SCI Innovations, the Ulysse Nardin Chairman has five color versions.
It also integrates a Ulysse Nardin Rotor kinetic power system that can generate additional electrical power for the battery (which can provide up to 8 hours of talk time, or up to 30 days of stand-by time).

Known for their watchmaking, the Ulysse Nardin has the mechanical intricacy you would expect along with a 2.8-inch multitouch screen, 5-megapixel camera, biometric fingerprint unlocking, WiFi and an email browser.
A first for the mobile phone industry, the Chairman features a functioning mechanical watch rotor that is also incorporated into its aesthetic design.
Similar to an automatic watch that receives power from the force of a rotor, the Chairman does the same: charging a built-in battery using the kinetic energy of the moving rotor to supply supplemental power to the Chairman.

Celebrated Swiss vanguard watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has partnered with the European firm, SCI Innovations, to create the world’s first hybrid smart phone: the Chairman.
It will incorporate a Ulysse Nardin designed kinetic rotor system which is blended into the mechanical and aesthetical design of the smart phone.
The Chairman will also include several components never seen before in a smart phone.

Ulysse Nardin’s revolutionary use of materials continues, with the use of silicium in all its new models.
The dial, micro-precision components, exclusive spring, oscillator, anchor and escapement, developed in collaboration with ASRH (Swiss Association for Horological Research), are technical features used in the movement and design of this latest model.
Available in a limited series of 300 in both pink and white gold, this model is equipped with a cathedral gong alarm that can be set over 24 hours.
