The new collection of Louis Vuitton City Guides have been released on October 15th, touching down in totally unprecedented cities.

Hong Kong and Macau are being offered for the first time in an individual volume, while London, Paris and Rome are returning in an entirely revisited form.

The indispensable European City box set is adding five new destinations to its map: Bari, Birmingham, Odessa, Salzburg and Zagreb.

The inventor of art du voyage, Louis Vuitton have released an iphone application to follow up their iconic City Guides.

This ground-breaking application, Amble, calls to all the elegant travellers out there to “see the world through the eyes of Louis Vuitton“.

Amble is a free app in which users document and share their travel adventures by creating an ‘Amble’ – a memory or journey recorded on the iPhone in photo, video, audio or notes.

As part of the 2011 update to Louis Vuitton‘s City Guide, illustrator Ruben Toledo has been commissioned to create this beautiful series of 100 postcards.

Illustrated in black and white and accented with vibrant fluorescent colors, each image aims to capture the unique experience of the depicted destination.

Ruben Toledo was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1961 and is a painter, sculptor, illustrator and fashion chronicler in one. He now lives in New York.

Luxury hotel chain The Luxury Collection has launched its own series of travel guides, becoming the latest brand to launch a guide for well-heeled travelers.

The Luxury Collection will publish six travel guides to cover Italy, Argentina, India, Spain, Greece and the United States in association with publisher Assouline.

The guides feature personal commentary from star chefs in each region (including Mario Batali for Italy, Francis Mallman for Argentina, José Andrés for Spain, and Charlie Palmer for the USA).

The luxury guides will also include photography from Andrea Fazzari, who has contributed to Vanity Fair and GQ magazines.
