Salvatore Ferragamo in a partnership with Timex introduces a group of luxury watches called the Salvatore Ferragamo Timespieces collection.
Each Ferragamo Timepiece has been Swiss made and features clean lines which reflect the Ferragamo signature design.
“We have 4 main watch families at the moment – F80 inspired by Ferragamo’s eightieth anniversary, Vara inspired by our horseshoe buckle, Gancino inspired by the fastening on our handbags and Salvatore, the name of the brand.”

Apparently not everyone is feeling the bite of the recession. A European mogul has commissioned luxury Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin to create a one-of-a-kind $6.5 million timepiece which will automatically become one of the most expensive watches in the world.
The design, which may take years to complete, will be many times more precious than Vacheron’s Tour de l’Ile timepiece (picture above) created for the company’s 250th anniversary in 2005. Only seven pieces were produced at $1.5 million each.
The features of this time exquisite time piece include a perpetual calendar and leap year, star chart, celestial annual calendar, tourbillon regulator, sunrise and sunset indication, perpetual time equation, phases and age of the moon, substantial power reserve, multiple time zones and day-night indication, among others.
« If owning a regular Vacheron Constantin watch is the equivalent of owning a Rolls-Royce, then having this watch will be like having a garage full of them »

Ultra-luxury Swiss watchmaking house Audemars Piguet has launched two new stunning watch and necklace sets.
There are two sets of matching 18K white gold and diamond watches and necklaces for women, the Coup de Theatre and Carnet de Bal. Both watches use the AP calibre 2046 movement with manual winding (18 jewels) that beats at a frequency of 21 600 vph and provides 42 hours power reserve.
The “Carnet de Bal” series (above) was inspired by flower arrangements, creating a glittering floral spray of diamonds along the wrist and around the neck. The 18-carat white gold timepiece includes 481 gems of varying cuts totaling 59.53 carats. The matching necklace has 1,039 round, brilliant, marquise, pear, and baguette-cut diamonds.
“Coup de Theatre” is a more modern design with 853 brilliant cut diamonds for an astounding 123 carats in the watch. The gorgeous choker is dripping with 1,673 gems weighing in at 204 carats.

Priced at $985, the pair of Girard Perregaux (below) is perhaps the most beautiful cufflinks they have created though.
“Girard Perregaux is a fixture among the top luxury watch brands and has been for a very long time. Their finely crafted timepieces are not only examples of brilliant craftsmanship and beauty, but also as highly coveted collectables that only increase in value. The company dates back to the late 1700′s in Geneva and in 1867 made an indelible mark on the horological world: Constant Girard presented his Tourbillon with three gold Bridges after years of research into the functional use of gold in watch movements. This masterpiece was awarded the gold medal at the Universal exhibitions of Paris in 1867 and 1889, but declared ineligible in 1901 because it could not be equalled.” (Courtesy of The Watch Guy)
As many of these items are unique, hand-crafted pieces, all items come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. Cost: $85-$985 @ Watch Cufflinks
