Luxury German carmaker Mercedes-Benz said on Friday it had achieved record sales in 2012, driven by accelerating growth in China and the United States.

The SLS AMG GT will be available both as a Coupé and Roadster complete with a new, optional AMG designo STYLE interior package.

The car is set to go on sale mid-November 2012, replacing previous SLS AMG versions. The new car will be distinguished by darker light lenses front and rear, a unique wheel color and red brake calipers.
