For its fourth annual campaign to benefit UNICEF, Gucci has launched a special white version of its Tattoo Heart Collection.
All handbags in the range feature Gucci’s iconic heart and rose design, a colorful print which contrasts with the purses’ stark white backgrounds.
“I love the idea of a heart being tattooed onto the handbags,” explained Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini, who has been involved in Gucci’s annual charity line since 2005. “It’s a permanent mark that you can wear with pride that stays with you.

The latest and most exciting bag off the Hermes Fall runway is the Jypsiere bag (aka the Birkin messenger) designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. He was seen wearing the androgynous shoulder bag down the runway following his Fall ’08 show for Hermes.
The bag is fashioned after a hunting satchel in which Gaultier describes as “a functional, nonchalant bag slung across the shoulder, combined with the iconic details of the Hermes bags”.

Gucciâ€™s new Crystal GG bags for autumn/winter 2008-9 are expected to be this seasonâ€™s â€˜itâ€™ bag, Vogue UK reported.
The line of bags including totes, clutches, and new handbag styles with gold studs, leather tassels, and heart-shaped crests all contain classic Sixties Gucci canvas.
Creative Director Frida Giannini has reinvented the classic Sixties Gucci canvas, updating it with a sleek, glossy coating, re-worked to have a patent finish.
