In 2005, a British jeweller made the world’s most expensive tea bag to celebrate the 75th birthday of PG Tips.
The bag was studded with 280 diamonds and worth £7,500.
Pete Harbour, spokesman for PG Tips said: “As it’s our 75th birthday, we wanted to do something special to remind people just how much they love the great British cup of tea.”
The tea bag was donated to a charity auction for Manchester Childrens’ Hospital in England.

Not trying to be funny but why would you post news that is 4 years old? It’s just a bit lazy.
Cause we are in August, which means more people on holidays and less interesting news. So either we write about fashion/gadgets - but other blogs do that better than us - or we talk about stories we have missed in the past… As our readers tend to like the “most expensive things” I thought it would be nice to find new items… and i havent really hidden the fact it was old as I started the story with “in 2005″.
We ll be back with fresh news soon : )
