Straight from Japan Kanto’s Syd 5 iPod Speaker packs in 80 watts of power, a bass reflex port, and a frequency response of 45hz to to 20Khz.
Audio is delivered through 5.25” low-range and and 3” high range drivers.
The SYD 5 weighs in at more than 20 pounds, and its four drivers are capable of surprisingly high volume.

Singapore Airlines is installing iPod docks and 15.4-inch widescreen LCDs in their all-Business Class Airbus A340-500 flights between NY/LA and Singapore.
Whilst two years ago, the crew promoted their luxury seats with superior first class cabin that were packed with largest chairs in the sky.
The proviso will facilitate flyers to enjoy movies and music via integrated noise-proof headphones that gets switched off as and when any announcement is made from the flight crew. Via gizmodo

Philips has launched a range of iPod docks for the iPod and iPhone range.
Starting with the Philips DC910 it does the usual charging and synchronizing, apart from this it comes with a USB and SD card slot for direct MP3 / WMA playback.
The dual wOOx loudspeakers deliver 30W RMS. Whats unique is the new connector which allows the iPod to be docked vertically and horizontally.
