
While most people are worried about what the exterior of a car looks like, it makes sense as a driver to pay at least a little attention to the interior.
Ten cars were honored last week in the prestigious “10 Best Interiors” list from US publication Ward’s Auto, ahead of the magazine’s Interiors Conference next month.
Those selected for recognition were an eclectic mix, with economy vehicles sitting alongside luxury models from the likes of Audi and BMW.


BMW is to show off a concept version of an M5 sedan at next month’s Auto Shanghai show, it confirmed April 4.
The latest designs for the four-door performance sedan will be showcased at the Chinese show and are expected to hint strongly at a production model slated for later this year, to be the fifth iteration of the iconic car.
The M5 is a reintegration of the M series’ traditional blend of business sedan and performance sports car, with “expressive and unmistakeable design features.”


BMW is to launch a plug-in hybrid model in China next month, designed specifically for the Chinese market, it has emerged.
The company’s boss Norbert Reithofer said recently that the new “new energy vehicle” model would be based on the 5-Series and unveiled at Auto Shanghai, describing it as “our e-car from China for China.”
It is squarely aimed at China’s rapidly-growing luxury market and is set to feature the same long wheel base as its Chinese-only predecessor, the 535Li, which was designed to add more comfort to those wishing to be chauffeur-driven.

BMW has unveiled the production version of the 6 Series coupe ahead of the car’s debut at Auto Shanghai 2011.
To be released in 2012, this car has a 4.4 litre, twin turbocharged V8 engine. It goes from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
Designed to be the ultimate “dream car,” the coupe features a “shark nose” front-end with bi-xenon headlights and a forward-slanting grille.

Italian fashion house Trussardi celebrates its 100th anniversary, and to mark the occasion has teamed up with BMW for a special edition 5 Series Gran Turismo.
For the exterior look, the choice fell on an exclusive color – a characteristic warm metallic brown that has been named Heraldic Brown.
The paintwork is executed in three layers and the color of the body changes gradation with varying exposition to light.


BMW has unveiled a new brand for its electric vehicles, confirming the first models at a press conference February 21.
BMW i was announced in BMW’s home town of Munich with the promise that the first two models would be launched from 2013, with the names i3 and i8.
The i3 concept was previously referred to as the Mega City Vehicle and has been designed from the ground up as an electric vehicle, according to BMW, making use of an aluminium chassis and lightweight carbon-fiber reinforced plastic.
