A new carbon offsetting service targeting the luxury-conscious set has recently launched.
Belgrave Trust calculates the amount of carbon users emit in a given month (partly from car and jet exhaust), and then offers them credits which are invested in projects that help the environment.
The site uses a unique carbon calculator that matches a user’s lifestyle with the amount of carbon they emit in a given month.
The choices range from Tech Executive to Rock Star to College Student.
Users also have the option to give carbon neutrality as a gift, offsetting a friend or family member’s carbon footprint for them.
A physical gift accompanies the offset, either a certificate or something more substantial.
Contributions are directed towards a portfolio of offsets Belgrave Trust manages, which range from wind farms to waste gas management systems.
