I’ve always though that making tea was easy: Boil some water, add a few tealeaves and wait a few minutes before you can savor the rich soothing flavor of tea. Simple and effective, this method is now improved and refined with the help of The Glass Tea Kettle by KitchenAid. Based on the same principle as rival Nespresso coffee machines, this is KitchenAid’s answer to the growing popularity of tea drinking.

Savvy tea drinkers who cherish the art of tea brewing, would love the intelligent tea-brewing kettle with its five modes. Each mode caters specifically to five different types of tea: green, black, white, herbal and Oolong. By adjusting the temperature of the water to suit the chosen tea, the kettle allows for the flavor to be released in an effective way.

Each type of tea has different characteristics and requires a slightly different preparation method to get the best out of a brew. Simply load the filter in the middle of the 1.3 liter kettle set the mode accordingly. Then wait for the water to boil in just a few minutes and enjoy. Decked out in the signature stainless steel that KitchenAid is known for, the kettle also ensures that the tea is kept at a constant 70°C.

The Glass Tea Kettle is due out in July and will be priced at US 169.99 (€155)
