
Dita Von Teese has revealed the first look of her Von Follies lingerie line, which goes on sale in 2012.
Inspired by the American burlesque dancer’s penchant for vintage underwear, the line will go on sale exclusively at Australia’s department store Target in February.
The collection, which includes high-waisted briefs, garter belts and fitted corselettes, is expected to subsequently go global.


Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld will be global guest editor for Metro International newspapers this February.
He will spend one day working in the paper’s Paris newsroom for the Feb. 7 issue, with coverage to run in 22 countries across Europe, America and Asia.
Entitled “The World According to Karl,” the edition will feature illustrations and commentaries from the creator and will launch the paper’s coverage of the New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.


Rapper Drake has a penchant for sweaters made by the Italian fashion house and harbors ambitions to be part of Missoni‘s next capsule line.
The musician revealed his interest in a partnership with the label during an interview for the December issue of GQ.
“Hopefully Missoni hollers at me and we get a sweater line popping,” he told the publication, when discussing his frequent appearances in Missoni jumpers.

Talk-show host Oprah Winfrey has placed an eight-room, 4,607-square-foot co-op unit inStreeterville up for rent for $15,000 a month.
She reportedly purchased the luxury apartment in the urban-upscale Streeterville neighborhood in 2006 for $5,600,000.
The sixth-floor co-op is one of 13 apartments in a Beaux Arts-style building that was built in 1913 and designed by architect Benjamin Marshall.


Industry sources have claimed Tamara Mellon has plans to launch an eponymous lifestyle brand.
The founder and chief creative officer of high-end footwear label Jimmy Choo has remained silent since her resignation from the company was revealed on Sunday.
Mellon is scheduled to leave Jimmy Choo at the end of this month, with WWD reporting sources have claimed funding is lined up for a Tamara Mellon brand.

Alber Elbaz, iconic fashion designer and creative director at Lanvin, is writing his first book, scheduled for release early 2012.
The 700-page tome will be a comprehensive guide to the design and production methods required to create a fashion collection.
The first several pages will remain empty, reported the Los Angeles Times, to evoke his daily creative process. “That is how I start every day,” he divulged.
