Luxury hotel chain Fairmont is to roll out BMW bikes to all of its worldwide hotels, it confirmed this week.

The bikes program, which was introduced last year at some of the chain’s North American hotels, appears to have proved so popular that it will now be rolled out around the world in time for summer.

The BMW Cruise Bikes, which feature Suntour suspension and a brake routing system, retail at over €800 but are available for Fairmont’s guests to use on a complimentary basis, complete with locks and helmets.

As part of the brand’s “Fairmont Fit” program, guests who are members of the Fairmont President’s Club will also be able to get Adidas exercise apparel delivered direct to their room, along with footwear and preloaded MP3 players.

Some of Fairmont’s properties include superb leisurely trails which can also be enjoyed on two wheels, such as the Hutongs of Old Beijing or the shores of Lake Geneva at Le Montreux Palace in Switzerland.

Last month, luxury chain Morgans announced it was rolling out Dutch-inspired Public J7 bicycles at its properties, which include the Sanderson and St Martins Lane hotels in London and and Mondrian properties in Miami and SoHo.
