2012 Porsche 911

Porsche has confirmed that it is to stage the world premiere of a new model at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The German automaker will put the spotlight on a new model “boasting impressive performance and dynamic looks, exuding unadulterated driving pleasure.”

Many bloggers and fans predict that the model could be a Cabriolet version of the Porsche 911, which has been seen testing recently.

Other possibilities include concept models, the Cajun crossover or a refresh of an existing line such as the Boxster or Cayman.

Porsche fans will also see the North America premiere of the 911 Carrera at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which runs November 18-27.

The brand will also showcase hybrid variants of its Panamera and Cayenne models.

The long-awaited Camaro ZL1 convertible, the most powerful production droptop Chevrolet has ever made, will also be launched.

Mercedes-Benz will also be debuting its 563-hp SLS AMG roadster for the first time in the US, while its rival BMW will showcase the 4.4-liter, turbocharged BMW M5.
