Internet platform Sedo, which is the auction of secondary domain names, today announced the conclusion of the most expensive deal in the blast zone. Org.

According to Sedo, a domain Poker.org was sold for $ 1 million.

Company National A-1 sold the specified domain operator online casino PokerCompany.com.

Believe it or not, but Poker is becoming a serious billion dollar a year industry that spans the entire world, and easily employs more than one million people.

world’s greatest golf course in Scotland

The American tycoon Donald Trump today revealed his masterplan for “the greatest golf course in the world” to be built on a windswept stretch of Scottish coastline.

The controversial proposals — first mooted more than three years ago — also include a new village, complete with shops, pubs and cafes.

Trump International Scotland received outline planning permission for the £1billion development from the Scottish government in December 2008.

Alexander McQueen’s label will go on

French luxury group PPR said Thursday that it will maintain Alexander McQueen’s label after the British designer committed suicide last week.

“This would be the best tribute that we could offer to him,” said Francois-Henri Pinault, president of the group, at a meeting in Paris to present company results.

The flamboyant 40-year-old McQueen, one of Britain’s most lauded designers, hanged himself in his London apartment on February 11 after leaving a note.

According to the Telegraph, upmarket supermarket Waitrose – in the UK – has launched a new loo paper range that contains cashmere.

Goat cashmere is renowend for its smooth texture and is typically associated with expensive designer wear and luxury fashion garmets.

It’s unclear exactly how much cashmere is used in the making of every square but we do know that no actual fibers are included.

Chanel is to begin selling products directly through its website later this year in a landmark decision likely to be followed by rival luxury brands.

Chanel will sell only its fragrances online but is looking to extend this to eyewear and accessories.

In the past, luxury fashion brands have shied away from selling goods via the web, but some industry figures believe 2010 could be a ‘watershed’.

Sportswear tops luxury on Facebook

A marketing company called Stylophane has developed a new index that ranks brands by Facebook followers, with its list highlighting the popularity of sportswear brands in comparison to luxe brands including Burberry and Gucci.

The top five of Stylophane’s Facebook Fashion Index are dominated by sportswear brands Adidas, Nike, Puma, and Lacoste (in descending order), with Swedish fast fashion retailer H&M — in third place — being the only exception.

It is not until spot six that high-fashion labels are mentioned, with social media forerunner Burberry leading the pack, followed by Chanel (8) and Gucci (9).

Martin Scorsese to direct Chanel fragrance ad

French luxe brand Chanel announced February 16 that movie director Martin Scorsese has created a short film to promote an upcoming men’s fragrance.

The ads will feature French actor Gaspard Ulliel and will air worldwide in September.

Andrea D’Avack, president of Chanel Fragrance and Beauté, declined to reveal details about the scent, including its name.

Naomi Campbell and Lotus Cars are to auction eight specially-designed Evora sports cars to raise money for the relief effort in Haiti.

The “Naomi for Haiti” Evora sports car has been specially designed by Lotus Design Director Donato Coco to reflect Campbell’s “design direction” and features a colour scheme that reflects the flag of Haiti.

Eight of the vehicles will be auctioned at Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief charity fashion show on the 18th of February at the London Fashion Week venue at Somerset House.

Giant Bottle Of Bordeaux Wine to be auctioned

Sotheby’s will auction off a melchior of Château Cheval Blanc 2006 on Feb. 17 in London, as part of a “finest and rarest wines and vintage Port” auction.

The melchior sized bottle, which is 18 litres in volume is expected to fetch up to 4,800 GBP.

The melchior weighs in at 25kg, is 75cm high with a circumference of 70cm and contains enough wine to pour 144 glasses of wine.

Yas Eagle Phantom by Rolls-Royce for Abu Dhabi

Rolls Royce Abu Dhabi has recently unveiled a special edition range “Yas Eagle” designed specifically to celebrate the regions first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The new Bespoke Yas Eagle range includes three models: the Phantom Sedan, Phantom Coupe and Phantom Drophead Coupe.

The exterior has been painted two-tone blue and white, the interior in blue with red accents and blue wood veneers. Even the hood ornament is illuminated.

This “bag” is named the Raindrop Besace because it’s made from coated canvas (raincoat material), and thus waterproof. “It’s quite a statement piece from Marc Jacobs, who surely drew inspiration from the cultural and environmental movement towards,” writes Faisal Nawaz of Greenwood Leather.

Angelina Jolie has come up with an unusual and original gift for her loved one Brad Pitt, reportedly splashing out $19,000 on a 200-year-old olive tree.

“Ange bought it from a nursery called The English Garden Centre in Valbonne, near their house. It’s a very specialtree and cost her a fortune.”

The leafy present will be installed in the grounds of the couple’s Chateau Miraval home located in Brignol, France.

Chopin to Auction World’s Largest Bottle of Vodka

Chopin, the small-batch ultra-premium potato vodka from Poland named in honor of the famed composer, has created the world’s largest bottle of vodka.

The 200-liter bottle was made to mark the 200th anniversary of the iconic Polish composer’s birth.

It was unveiled last week at the Santa Barbara (CA) International Film Festival.

It was signed by celebrities, including Sandra Bullock, Forest Whitaker, Emily Blunt, Kirk Douglas, James Cameron and more.
