YikeBike, carbon fiber foldable bike

This weird thing is a 1.2kW electric motor powered, carbon fiber foldable bike called the YikeBike.

YikeBike is a statement about using smart technology to solve the problems of our increasingly congested, polluted, stressful cities.

It is the first commercial expression of the mini-farthing concept, created up by a bunch of successful entrepreneurs, engineers and dreamers.

Vertu Ascent Ti Mixed Metal collection

Vertu has a new line-up of luxury devices. It’s called Ascent Ti Mixed Metal collection, and is set to start selling in September.

The Knurled version features knurled rose gold side panels with rose gold keys and screws whilst the back is a specialized knurled rubber back.

The other version is made of brushed titanium with yellow gold screws and keys with the same knurled rubber back as the knurled version.

Rolls Royce has released over the week-end detailed information on the Rolls Royce Ghost, including a new image gallery.

The 2011 Rolls Royce Ghost is the second Rolls Royce model since being bought by BMW in 2003, the other being the Phantom line.

Ghost is the most powerful car that Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has ever produced.

Cartier Treasures at the Palace Museum in Beijing

Cartier is organizing an exhibition event from September 5 to November 22 at the Palace Museum in Beijing, in a sacred place: the Forbidden City.

The exhibition includes more than 350 items, including archives dating from the founding of Cartier to its creations from the 1970s.

Partly dedicated to royal jewels, the exhibition will be illustrated by historical documents relating to European royal courts.

Brabus SV12 R

Brabus has announced plans to introduce the insane SV12 R, the world’s fastest and most powerful luxury sedan, at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The high-performance automobile reaches a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).

It is built based on the latest Mercedes S 600 facelift model and is powered by a BRABUS SV12 R Biturbo 750 twelve-cylinder engine with 750 hp (740 bhp) / 552 kW and a peak torque of 1,350 Nm (995 lb-ft).

The Brabus SV12 R Biturbo 750 engine is a prime example for the old adage that nothing can replace displacement except more displacement.

Is the Leibovitz archive Worth $50 Million?

On Tuesday, Annie Leibovitz’s $24 million loan comes due, but she really can’t pay it.

Her lender, Art Capital, is planning to sell Leibovitz’s archive and describes it as fine art and intellectual property, as the right to reproduce and sell pictures.

One recent court document reveals that Leibovitz’s vintage Rolling Stone material alone was appraised “in excess of $50 million.”

Lindsay Lohan Facing $50,000 Bill For Breaking Lease On Burglarized Home

According to U.S. reports, Lindsay Lohan could face up to $50,000 in charges as she moves out of her rented Hollywood Hills home, after spate of burglaries, several months before the end of her lease.

“Lindsay has five months left on her lease. She’s breaking her lease by moving on at this time.

The property was up for rental at $15,000 per month but she got a special deal of $10,000 per month, meaning she’s going to owe $50,000 on the remainder of her lease,” neighbours told RadarOnline.com.
