Say goodbye to special-edition Veyrons

Last week, Bugatti took the wraps off another special-edition version of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, called the Sang Bleu.

The model, which celebrated Bugatti’s 100th anniversary made its debut at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

But reports now indicate that this will be the last of the special-edition Veyrons before Bugatti unveils its successor.

Musician Hahn-Bin leaves $500k violin in cab

South Korean-born violin virtuoso Hahn-Bin accidently left his $500,000 18th century Giovanni Francesco Pressenda violin in the back of a New York City cab.

It was only after the exhausted fiddler had taken a shower in his Chinatown apartment that he realized what had happened.

City taxi officials say a GPS device in the cab led to the quick return of the instrument to the Korean violinist on Monday.

A new carbon offsetting service targeting the luxury-conscious set has recently launched.

Belgrave Trust calculates the amount of carbon users emit in a given month (partly from car and jet exhaust), and then offers them credits which are invested in projects that help the environment.

The site uses a unique carbon calculator that matches a user’s lifestyle with the amount of carbon they emit in a given month.

People Magazine reports that Eva Longoria Parker is taking her Beso restaurant concept to Las Vegas.

Beso Vegas will officially open its doors on New Year’s Eve 2010 with an exclusive event hosted by Longoria Parker.

Headed by celebrity chef Todd English the two-story restaurant will have items tailored to Vegas but also signature dishes, including tortilla soup, paella, and guacamole.

The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars design team has announced a new Rolls-Royce Phantom Bespoke collection exclusively for the Arabian market.

The exclusive sedan features a Crème Light and Saddle Tan two-tone interior, hand-knotted silk rugs, and moccasin carpets.

Other design touches include “Mother of Pearl” wood inlays and silver dhow (an Arab sailboat) accents on the door trim and front passenger side dashboard.
