Roberto Cavalli is launching a made-to-measure service for clients who want that certain cocktail, evening or wedding dress in tune with the spirit of the Italian fashion house.
Called Roberto Cavalli Saint-Honoré, the service will offer entirely handmade dresses in a special private space above the Rue Saint-Honoré store.
No more than 35 dresses are to be produced each year, with prices starting at 30,000 euros, or $41,950, for a cocktail dress.

No news on whether he’s been release yet or whether he will make it to the opening of the exhibit this Tursday…

The French President defied the recession last year to order $390 million worth of planes, including an Airbus designed to be bigger than any flown by other European leaders, and two corporate run-arounds for shorter trips.

Croatian design student Elvis Tomljenovic has won a car design competition with MOY, a concept that allows users to download their own surface designs for their vehicles.
The car features a polycarbonate shell embedded with LEDs and LCDs that produce static or animated patterns on the vehicle’s surface.
A range of ready made designs are available to download for users without the required design skills.

New York design firm Leeser Architecture have won a competition to design a hotel in the Zayed Bay district of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Called the Helix for its spiraling floors, the hotel is located in the bay and sits partially over the water.
The building includes a glass-bottomed swimming pool on the roof, visible eight floors below, and a running track on the fifth floor.
It will be part of a new waterfront development in Abu Dhabi, adjacent to the Sheik Zayed Bridge by Zaha Hadid Architects that is currently under construction.
The Queen is to have her own £3million private jet under plans to cut the royal family’s travel costs.
The plane would be used only by the Queen and other royals and would not be shared with ministers.
Currently, the royal family uses two planes from 32 Squadron at RAF Northolt but they are more than 20 years old and are deemed too unreliable.

French urban artist Zevs has a must-see show at art statements gallery, opening in Hong Kong Thursday, July 16th.
The artist arrived earlier to create a series of paintings of LV and Chanel dripping logos on lacquer in collaboration with local craftsmen.
