Hublot Black Caviar Bang

The latest addition to the million-dollar watch club is Hublot’s limited-edition Black Caviar Bang based on their highly acclaimed Big Bang model.

It features an 18k white gold case and a clasp that features hundreds of precision-cut black diamonds.

The watch’s total of 34.5 carats is made up of 322 diamonds on the case, 179 on the bezel and another 30 on the clasp.

Louis Vuitton Conveyor Belt Window Display

The Louis Vuitton 5th Avenue store put up a window display showing the rich history of the speedy bag by putting different editions up on a conveyor belt

Take a look at the video as the Speedys travel through the corner windows of the store.

Passing smoothly on a moving belt, through curtains of gold bead the bags are transformed into the next variation of the Monogram.

A few months ago, when an old Brit man decided to sell his ancestral home, he hit upon a creative idea which brought him instant success.

He put up a sign advertising the sale of a teddy bear for 50,000 pounds which would also give the buyer a free house!

Property developer Duncan Jones, 28, attempted a similar stunt but this is unfortunately not working for him.

Christie’s to sell rare Annenberg diamond

A giant gem will hit the auction block in New York this autumn with the sale of the 32-carat emerald-cut Annenberg diamond, which is expected to fetch as much at $5 million.

The flawless ring-mounted diamond, owned by philanthropist Lee Annenberg, widow of publishing magnate Walter Annenberg, leads the auction house’s magnificent jewels sale on October 21.

Gems of this size are extremely rare, and their presence on the market is always an important event in the world of diamonds,” said Rahul Kadakia, Christie’s head of jewelry.

US Airways Getting In-Flight WiFi in 2010

Surfing the web while flying to your favorite destination is a great way to pass the time and U.S. Airways has just decided to offer the services starting next year.

In early 2010 you’ll be able to connect to the internet on U.S. Airways flights using your laptop or smartphone.

The airline just announced a deal with Aircell to bring the company’s Gogo in-flight internet service to its planes.

Dubai airport sells world’s rarest wines

Dubai International Airport’s new fine wine and spirits shop is to sell some of the world’s rarest wines in the world – duty free.

The wines in « Le Clos » include Château Petrus 1947 ($12,500/  bottle), Château Cheval Blanc 1961 in magnum ($15,750) and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 2005 ($27,770/ bottle).

The shop also stocks a number of New World wines, including vintages from Napa icons Opus One, Harlan Estate and Screaming Eagle.

Dupont Creates World’s Most Expensive Lighter

The venerable Parisian luxury goods firm of S.T. Dupont has come out with the world’s most expensive lighter priced at $79,000.

The Ligne 2 Champagne lighter, part of Dupont’s Prestige Collection, is made of solid 18-carat white gold embellished with 468 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Also available is a matching fountain pen also in solid 18-carat white gold with rhodium finished trims and 502 brilliant-cut diamonds for $74,000.

MahaNakhon – Bangkok Rising

MahaNakhon will be the most ambitious complex of contemporary architecture and design in Thailand and the tallest building in Bangkok.

The 77-story tower has been designed by OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture), the architects behind Beijing’s iconic CCTV tower in Beijing, China.

A spiraling incision of “architectural pixels” travels up the building, interrupting the curtain wall to reveal a series of terraces for larger units and shared spaces.

Nomiya Opens on the Roof of Palais de Tokyo

Nomiya, a Japanese word for “little bars”, is a chic new restaurant that is located on the roof of one of the coolest museum in Paris – Palais de Tokyo.

Nomiya looks like a rectangular glass box as big as a shipping container, holding a dozen guests who want to spice up their lunch/dinner with excellent views of Eiffel Tower.

One of the interesting experiences is about the reservation as there is only one table available.

Chanel Customized Motorcycle

WWD reports that last Friday the Chanel boutique on Rue Royale in Paris featured a motorcycle customized for Chanel in Toulouse, France.

However this motorcycle is not made to be sold, Karl Lagerfeld was only shooting the press kit for Chanel’s pre-spring collection “Starting Point” with the models Lara Stone and Baptiste Giacobini.

$1 Million wine book (wine included)

A $1 million wine book, weighing 30kg, is set to be released in the Spring of 2010. The Wine Opus will list the world’s top 100 wineries.

That’s not a typo: $1 million. Because . . . every purchaser of the book will also receive a six-bottle case of wine from every one of the 100 wineries listed.

The book is published by Kraken Opus, which has previously launched extravagant works on fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, Indian cricket ace Sachin Tendulkar and Argentine footballer Diego Maradona.

Pyramid-shaped watermelon for 52,000 yen

A farmer in the town of Tsukigata in Hokkaido, Japan, has grown watermelons that are shaped like pyramids!

The farmer attained this shape by putting the watermelon in a pyramid-shaped plastic casing and hanging it upside down.

Sixteen of the pyramid-shaped watermelons have been shipped to shops across the country, including the Iwataya department store in Fukuoka.
