The latest offering from the house of Ferretti Custom Line is the luxurious 124’ superyacht, which marks the launch of a wave of renewal in the yard’s history.

Tag Heuer has launched two, ultra-glamorous models adorned in pave diamonds and precious gem stones.

Victoria Beckham is well known for her extravagant taste in fashion, but news that she owns 100 Hermès Birkin bags is likely to be seen as nothing less than excessive.

A US financial website worked out that the sometime pop star’s collection of the coveted bag alone is worth £1.5million ($2.3 million).

Cullinan Blue Diamond Is Now “Star of Josephine”

The Hong Kong collector who bought Cullinan’s blue diamond has named it the ‘Star of Josephine’, Petra Diamonds said on Tuesday.

The flawless cushion shaped diamond, weighing 7.03 carats was purchased by Hong Kong collector Joseph Lau Luen-Hung on 12 May.

Mr Lau bought the diamond for HK$74-million (US$9.48-million) and he has already exercised his right to name the diamond, which is now known as ‘Star of Josephine’,” said the company.

‘Quantum’ Sunseeker Yacht At Bulgaria Boat Show

Ritz-Carlton Cuisine Takes Flight on Lufthansa

Business and first class passengers on Lufthansa flights from the US to Germany will soon be able to enjoy meals provided by luxury hotel chain Ritz-Carlton.

From May 1 until August 2010, the partnership will see chefs at Ritz-Carlton properties in Denver, New York, Boston and San Francisco creating dishes for Lufthansa’s premium passengers on flights from the carrier’s 18 US gateways to Germany.

The Ritz-Carlton menus will change every two months and will begin with dishes created by Andres Jimenez, chef at the Ritz-Carlton Denver.

Louis Vuitton, a Fan of OrphanAid Africa

In honor of Cannes, Louis Vuitton has produced a limited edition fan designed in collaboration with Spanish actress Rossy de Palma.

A portion of the fans’ proceeds will benefit a non-governmental organization, OrphanAid Africa, whose ambassador is Rossy De Palma herself.

These designer fans were on one-day sale (Monday, May 18) at Louis Vuitton’s store in Cannes but you can also find these fans in selected stores in Spain until June 30.

De Beers woos safe-haven investors

De Beers has launched a global campaign to convince investors that diamonds are an alternative to gold as a safe-haven investment.

The move is a sign of the pressure on the world’s biggest diamond miner to find new markets following the collapse of traditional sales.

Stephen Lussier, De Beers’ executive director for corporate affairs, told the Financial Times the group had been approached in the past two months by “half-a- dozen” brokers linked to sovereign wealth funds and wealthy individuals.

In an effort to cut through the gloom in the luxury real estate market, a Florida realtor has been running an ad in the Palm Beach Daily News.

“FREE $1,000,000 with this coupon,” the ad reads. “Offer expires May 31, 2009.”

Rusty Gulden is trying to sell a 2,000-square-foot unit at the Sun & Surf condo at 100 Sunrise Blvd. in Palm Beach. The asking price was $3.7 million, but it’s a mere $2.7 million with the coupon.

Reportedly, A 23-year-old German guy lost yesterday no less than 23,000 Euros which were blown out of an Audi A3 Convertible.

The young driver took the Audi A3 Convertible for a test drive before he wanted to buy it.

The money for the purchase, the 23,000 Euros, were in envelope which he threw on the back seat before opening the top of the Audi A3 Convertible.
