Fendi Design Your Own Baguette

Has it really been ten years since the Fendi baguette? To celebrate the popular slim bag, Fendi has released a new version in ten bright Pantone colors.

They’ve also created a kit At $1,300, so you can create your own custom Fendi. The kit contains a bag of coated canvas with a removable belted shoulder strap with buckle attachments, polished gold metal logo-engraved appliqués on each side and an acrylic double-F logo on the front.

The bag comes with ten Pantone Universe markers to create your own style on the bag.

Slipstream Yacht for Sale

This 141-foot motoryacht was built in 2001 by Warren Yachts of New South Wales, Australia and designed by Ed Dubois. It has room for ten guests in five cabins including the full width owner’s suite which is located forward on the main deck and includes a study, lounge, dressing room and his and hers baths.

There are four additional guest suites with en suite shower rooms. The yacht also has a jacuzzi dip pool, gymnasium and barbecue. It comes with toys including two tenders, waverunners, waterskis and snorkeling gear.

This luxury yacht is listed for 16.6 million euros.

Most Expensive Truffle

A Hong Kong property tycoon and his wife have reportedly paid $160,406 for a huge Italian white truffle in 2006, which may be the world’s most expensive ever.

Gordon Wu and his wife outbid connoisseurs from France and Italy to win the 3.3 pounds Alba white truffle from an international auction, a spokeswoman for the Ritz-Carlton hotel, which hosted the Hong Kong part of the auction, said.

It was the second time Hong Kong bidders won a pricey fungus at the annual auction, held in Grizane, Italy and satellite-linked with Paris and Hong Kong.

In 2005, a group of bidders in Hong Kong paid 95,000 euros for a 2.7-pound truffle, a purchase later named by Guinness World Records as the most valuable truffle bought at an auction.

Cirrus – The Jet

Cirrus Design’s The Jet is a next-generation aircraft planned as a transition from the Cirrus SR22.

The jet is not intended to compete with very light jets like the Eclipse 500 and the Cessna Citation Mustang. It is intended for the personal use market and will be comparable to the Diamond Aircraft Industries D-Jet. It will have a parachute, as all Cirrus have, and will be made of a composite material. Certification expected in the next few years.

Cirrus is currently taking $100,000 deposits for the jet. Initially, as a public relations exercise, the company gave deposit holders a drawing of the jet in the form of a jigsaw puzzle, one piece at a time. On June 28, the entire puzzle was completed, and the Cirrus Jet configuration was unveiled.

The Jet will seat seven people. The cockpit will have two seats, and the second row will have two seats as will the third row. There will be a seat that can slide between the second and third row. The Jet will have two doors, and the parachute will be located in the nose.

Mooney Delivers First Acclaim Type S

Mooney Airplane Company has delivered the first Acclaim Type S—the fastest single engine production piston airplane in the world—to an Illinois dentist. The Acclaim Type S was introduced by Mooney in October of 2007.

Priced at $599,500, it is powered by a Teledyne Continental Motors IO 550-G engine and equipped with dual Kelly Aerospace turbochargers that allow it to maintain sea level manifold pressure all the way to its service ceiling of 25,000 feet. Its top cruise speed of 242 knots is five knots faster than the original Acclaim and results from a series of refinements that have notably increased its performance.

While its maximum speed is attained at FL250, the Acclaim Type S still operates at near turbine speeds at a more common cruising altitude of 16,000 feet, where it can still exceed 220 KTAS. It comes equipped with Garmin’s G1000 integrated avionics suite and GFC 700 autopilot as standard. A TKS anti-icing system is also available, making it the only airplane in its class approved for flight into known icing conditions.

A Louis Vuitton Store Inside a Marriott

Hotels are slowly moving beyond the bar, nightclub and restaurant trend to add some hip retail spaces in their properties.

Of course, this is nothing new as some hotels have been doing this already for a long time. But what is news is the report of a Louis Vuitton store opening inside the JW Marriott Bucharest Hotel.
