Because we all know that the rich can never be too comfortable, EDAG set about to improve the ergonomics of the stately Phantom.

Their solution was to develop and articulated roof over the rear seat area so that passengers could get in and out of the car more easily.

By simply pressing a button, the driver or passenger can activate the specially developed electronic controls, and raise the hydraulically powered roof segment with practically no sound whatsoever.

Shakira bra auctions for $3,000 on eBay

Pop star Shakira sold one of her bras for $3,000 at a charity auction on Sunday (10Feb08).

The Latin beauty sold more than 40 stage costumes from her 2007 Oral Fixation tour to raise funds for her Bare Feet Foundation, which is leading a project to build a school for impoverished kids in her native Colombia.

Among other items up for sale on the eBay Giving Works website included a low cut red dress with large, wing-like sleeves, a blue tank top baring the slogan ‘For Those Who Love to Rock’, and a lavender skirt with turquoise and coral beading, which went for $1,000.

Music icon Madonna topped Forbes magazine‘s first-ever list for the ‘Cash Queens of Music’. Madge’s earnings of 72 million dollars were 12million USD more than that of second place star Barbara Streisand, with an earning of 60million dollars.

Third place on the list went to Celine Dion with 45 million dollars in the bank, reports People magazine.

The top five was rounded of by Shakira and Beyonce who came in fourth and fifth place with an earning of 38 million dollars and 27 million dollars respectively.

$300 million for A380 Flying Palace

With 10,000 private jets flying in the U.S., a few billionaires are signing up for something roomier – jumbo jets that can be outfitted as mobile mansions.

WSJ’s Wealth Report highlights on one such client, a Middle Eastern head of state, who shelled out $300 million on the notorious Airbus 380, an aircraft which is running way behind in its production schedule.

The unidentified buyer, will spend an extra $100 million to turn the craft into a more exclusive conveyance which Airbus eloquently calls “The Flying Palace”.

KTM X-Bow roadster

Austrian motorcycle builder KTM today released photos of a full-scale prototype of its new X-Bow (crossbow) roadster.

The 1500-pound car has a four-cylinder Audi engine offering 220 horsepower in the base model, and a potential 300 horsepower in a more expensive variant.

A choice of either a six-speed manual or DSG gearbox will be given. KTM says the base X-Bow will hit 62 mph in 3.9 seconds.

Armed Robbers In Old Masters Art Theft

Paintings by some of the world’s most famous artists have been stolen by an armed gang from a museum in Zurich.

Four oil paintings worth more than 112,000,000 Euros by Cezanne, Degas, van Gogh and Monet were taken in the weekend robbery from the E.G. Buehrle museum.

A police statement said three robbers wearing ski masks and dark clothing entered the museum half-an-hour before closing on Sunday.

The first unit has just been purchased by Sheikh Rashid, the ruler of Dubai. This bird will be able to fly anyone from Paris to New York in just over 4 hours, so even while it has a $80,000,000 price tag, there will be no demand problems for it.

The aircraft specs are amazing: Thanks to its design, the Aerion Supersonic Business Jet will be able to cruise at 1.15 Mach over land without producing any boom on the ground.
