CRN report the successful launch of the new 72m superyacht, at an open ceremony at the CRN shipyard in Ancona, Italy.
With a distinctive grey displacement hull she is the largest leisure yacht built by CRN to date (CRN is a brand of the Ferretti Group).

Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich has installed a laser based anti-paparazzi shield on his new record breaking mega yacht – the Eclipse.
Measuring 557ft long, it boasts two swimming pools, two helipads and an onboard missile defence system.
The boat’s anti-paparazzi system, described in several reports as a “laser shield”, is a little less science fiction than it sounds.

Alfa Nero, the 269-ft. Oceanco superyacht has been listed for sale via brokerage firm Edmiston & Co. for €129,750,000 (about $190 million).
Named after Roman emperor Nero, this superyacht was designed for the stylish and powerful Lords of the seas.
She was ranked #43 in Boat International’s list of the world’s 100 largest yachts in February 2009 and is Lloyds classed and MCA compliant.

Porsche Design has unveiled its latest collaboration with yacht builder Royal Falcon Fleet, a 135 ft. catamaran.
The RFF135 is their first joint venture which has reached the first milestone of the construction.
The $58million craft features 472 square metres of interior space, accommodating 10 passengers and 10 crew members.

Louis Vuitton has announced plans to inaugurate a new World Series of sailing, beginning with a regatta in Nice in November.
The Louis Vuitton World Series has been created while the America’s Cup is locked in the protracted court battle between Oracle and Alinghi.
The event will be undertaken in association with a new professional sailing group called the World Sailing Team Association (WSTA).
