Etihad Airways extends its first class service beyond the skies with the opening of its flagship First Class Lounge & Spa. Nestled within the Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Terminal 3, the 1,700 square-meter sanctuary is inspired by the world’s most prestigious hotels, private members’ clubs and fine dining establishments. Inside, 16 unique zones await in the 1,700 m² space, thoughtfully designed with geometric patterns and a color palette inspired by the UAE.

Instead of the usual buffet line, Etihad has chosen to make things more personal with an a la carte menu of Arabian, Indian and international cuisine. Gentlemen can enjoy a cigar or two (out of nine carefully selected brands) post-meal with a selection of whisky or cognac (only the finest) while ladies can spruce up for the next flight with the lounge’s dedicated team of hairstylists and manicurists. It’s also not like Etihad to let you walk away with sore shoulders or a stiff neck – its Six Senses Spa will offer esteemed guests complimentary treatments, while the fitness rooms will have an extensive range of state-of-the-art equipment.
