A crane gingerly lifts a 13-metre Riva into Lake Iseo after the last coat of varnish has dried on its mahogany finish.
The speedboat, an icon of “Made in Italy” luxury design, is going for a final spin before a potential buyer checks it out.
“Tradition and innovation, that’s what drives us,” said Paola Procopio at the shipyard.
Like many symbols of La Dolce Vita, Riva started as a family venture in 1842.

Leopard Yachts have recently launched their latest superyacht model, the Leopard 43.
Powered by three MTU engines, the motor yacht has a displacement of 190 tonnes and with a booster can reach a maximum speed of 38 knots.
This latest innovation unveiled by Leopard Yachts offers comfortable accommodation for nine guests and seven crew members.

The Ferretti Group has unveiled Summer Line, the new telephone service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, established to solve any technical problems Ferretti Group’s clients may have.
The service is provided by Easea Yaching, the Group’s Service Division, developed to bring together the After Sales resources of all Group brands.
The aim is to guarantee owners of all Ferretti Group yachts a better and increased range of services.

Azimut’s latest yacht is the Leonardo 100 which has been specified to be much larger and wider than its previous designs.
Like a Leonardo da Vinci painting, Azimut achieved the right balance of proportion, color, and design to make this a masterpiece.
The main deck of the new Leonardo 100, which measures 30 metres from bow to stern, is shrouded in elegance and is dedicated to comfort.

U.S.-based Atlantic Yachts has contracted with Rolls-Royce’s Marine division to design and engineer a new line of superyachts dubbed the NVC 85 Y.
The 85-metre craft will be built by Germany’s Nobiskrug GmbH while Atlantic’s founder Paul Madden, formerly of Blohm + Voss will oversee the project.
“The German built version of the NVC 85 Y is all about design, technology, safety at sea, and comfort,” explains Madden.
“Rolls-Royce Marine’s design team in Norway has worked diligently with us to create a yachting platform without equal.”

Millennium Yacht Design Award winner Fabio Federici has created an innovative new sea-going vessel with the Origami Yacht.
Origani’s distinctive feature lays in navigation which she easily does by closing the wings that makes her fast and aerodynamic.
When anchored, she opens its walls to allow the user enjoy greater space on the main bridge with the sea view of 360 degrees.
