Christian Dior has released a new short film showing you how to use the brand’s latest products to get the “Golden Flower” winter makeup look.
It all starts with the nails, which feature a jewel manicure duo — a layer of metallic color, topped off with glittering pale gold micro-beads. Moving to the face, an even tone is created with a light beige foundation, followed by Skinflash concealer under the eyes and in any other areas required.
The eyes and lips are the focus of this look, starting with the light gold eyeshadow on the upper eyelid, and a light line under the bottom lash lid.
Black mascara and a dark red lip from the Golden Winter collection add a sexy yet understated edge which is perfect for evenings. The look is then finished with a light brush of blusher across the cheeks.
The Dior Golden Winter collection was released last week, with prices ranging from €25 for the Diorshow Liner up to €74 for the perfumed powder compact.
Fendi has released a minute long video which mixes finger puppetry, cool illustrated cut-outs and a smidgen of animation to celebrate its new bag bugs.
Designed to look like mini-meteorites, the furry wee fellows don’t have pockets themselves but operate as cute accessories for Fendi’s luxurious hangbags.
“Their viral invasion has finally come in,” says Fendi, as the little guys go on an adventure that includes automobiles, sailboats, silly squirrels, and a Moulin Rouge style can-can finale.
The $700 accessories are made from mink and fox fur with a leather and silver strap to attach them (or chain them down, depending on how active your imagination is) to your bag. Adding to the monster theme, the video also features a luxurious Peekaboo bag with a pair of snakeskin eyes.
Martin Scorsese‘s new commercial for Italian luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana has just been unveiled.
The Academy Award winning director has enlisted some A-list talent for his new Dolce & Gabbana The One ad, shot in black and white, and inspired by the golden days of Italian cinema.
Driving a vintage Alfa Romeo convertible through a strangely deserted New York City dawn, Matthew McConaughey and Scarlett Johansson star in the film, the first time that the two faces of the men’s and women’s fragrances have been united for a Dolce & Gabbana campaign.
Titled “Street of Dreams,” the 2-minute 35-second clip sees McConaughey’s character pick up Scarlett Johansson’s blonde beauty, before the pair shoot pithy lines at each other about love and life in the spotlight, and then romance each other on a rooftop.
According to the brand it’s “an epic story of the power of love and the power of dreams.” While we might not go quite that far, it’s still a stylishly shot and beautifully acted short film.
Nicole Kidman has appeared in a new campaign for Cruise 2014 and divulges some behind-the-scenes confessions in a video.
“I have been known to be the party girl of all party girls. I’m proud of being able to go I’m up for anything and if that means diving into the ocean at midnight naked, I’ll do it,” reveals Nicole Kidman in a new behind-the-scenes video for Jimmy Choo.
The 46-year-old actress was styled with a Brigitte Bardot-style back-combed hairdo for the brand’s new Cruise 2014 campaign. “To draw from someone like Bardot is fabulous,” explains Kidman in the clip: “she was a very strong cinematic presence, but I think she was also a world presence in terms of setting a style, in the same way that Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly and all these people set their styles.”
She also elaborates on her own relationship with shoes: “I love ankle straps; there’s something about wearing ankle straps that makes you feel feminine. They feel girly which is kind of nice.” According to the actress it’s “the luxury, femininity and the attention to detail” that gets ladies’ hearts racing when it comes to footwear.
The collection is available to pre-order now via the Jimmy Choo site with the ‘Lottie’ black sandals worn in the adverts selling for €495 and the ‘Anna’ metallic bag available for €1050.
A video posted to YouTube shows the UK supercar company’s latest flagship, the P1, setting an unbelievable lap time of just 6 minutes 47 seconds.
If true, then that would make the P1 the fastest street-legal production car in history to lap the historic and terrifying circuit, known in the trade as the Green Hell. The 12.8-mile (20.6km) undulating track has in recent years become the proving ground for any car with sporting aspirations.
As a result, those that know base their supercar and hypercar buying decisions not on acceleration or top speed, but on that all-important lap time.
Currently the production car lap-time record is held by the equally rare and exotic Porsche 918 Spyder. In September it became the first such car to lap the circuit in less than seven minutes, posting a confirmed time of six minutes, 57 seconds.
To put that into perspective, the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 managed it in seven minutes 19 seconds and the mighty Ferrari Enzo in seven minutes and 25 seconds. All of which would make the McLaren time — it shaves a whole 10 seconds off the record — even more remarkable.
The Italian brand has released a trailer for “Le Donne della Vucciria,” the sixth film in Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales collection of films. “Le Donne Della Vucciria” (“The Women of Vucciria”) shows off the vibrant women of the famous street market in Palermo, Sicily.
Directed by Palestinian filmmaker Hiam Abbass, the teaser trailer opens with a shot of miniature Sicilian puppets wearing the latest Miu Miu collection before building to a rousing musical crescendo.
Fifty-two-year-old Abbass has previously starred in films including Steven Spielberg’s “Munich” and made her directorial debut last year with “The Inheritance.”
Beginning in September 2011, Italian luxury brand Miu Miu has released a series of films exploring women’s experiences of love, with a diverse range of female directors including Zoe Cassavetes.
“The Door,” the last film in the Women’s Tales series, was directed by Ava DuVernay, who in 2012 became the first African-American woman to win the Best Director Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
Miu Miu‘s moody effort was shot by fashion photography legends Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin and continues the aesthetic the pair has used in the label’s Spring Summer 2013 campaigns.
According to Miu Miu, the film represents “a dreamy web of closeness and interpersonal relationships” and stars supermodels Malgosia Bela, Bette Franke, Martha Hunt and Arizona Muse as well as a pair of Victoria’s Secret angels in the form of Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima. The 20-second clip is soundtracked by Biosphere’s “Cloudwalker III.”
“Once Upon a Time” celebrates the founding of the famous Parisian luxury label’s first store exactly a century ago.
Starring recently married Chanel favorite Keira Knightley, the 18-minute long film was directed by the brand’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld, and was unveiled as the brand showed the latest Cruise collection in Singapore on May 9.
Featuring appearances from some of fashion’s biggest names (and Lagerfeld’s favorite stars), the film explores the story of Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel’s first shop, established in 1913 in the French seaside town of Deauville as well as her relationship with the shop’s financier, and Coco’s lover, Arthur ‘Boy’ Capel.
Runway model Lindsey Wixson plays apparently fussy shopper Miss Wonderbilt, who ends up buying up all of the collection, alongside appearances from 1980s favourite Tallulah Harlech and current Chanel stars Saskia de Brauw and Ashleigh Good.
No newcomer to the world of Chanel, young Hudson has already walked in shows for the brand (it might help that his godfather is none other than Mr Lagerfeld himself).
Parisian luxury house Chanel has unveiled a new film starring Franco-Swedish beauty Sigrid Agren for the Hollywood-inspired Avant-Première beauty collection.
The thirty-second video, titled “Le Rouge Chanel: Beyond Color,” sees the face of the brand’s new Collection Avant-Première de Chanel, Sigrid Agren, showing off her bright red lips on a luxurious poolside location.
Inspired by classic French cinema, the collection features eight Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshines, six Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colours, and four Le Vernis nail varnishes.
The 21-year-old model, who was picked by Chanel as the face of the beauty collection, was born to a French mother and a Swedish father on the tropical island of Martinique. Previously the face of Chanel’s Chance fragrance, she has also starred in major campaigns for Prada, Nicole Farhi and Stella McCartney.
The Collection Avant-Première hit stores on April 5.
Cosmetics and skincare brand Estée Lauder has presented the first in a long series of videos entirely dedicated to its international brand ambassadors. French model Constance Jablonski started things off by giving viewers a look at her life in New York.

In the new teaser, Seydoux’s character introduces herself to a pair of male characters as ‘Candy’ and is seen greedily stuffing her face with popcorn in the cinema, all while dressed in Prada’s floral-inspired spring-summer 2013 collection.
The full film is set to be unveiled next month, but get set for more teasers in the meantime.
