Bon Appetit magazine has released a list of the top 10 chefs to follow on Twitter following a story on how Twitter is narrowing the gap between chefs and their diners.
Fans are tweeting to chefs directly, with some soliciting chef secrets for the best marinara sauce, some taking their beefs online for the Twittersphere to see, and others still hoping for a virtual shoutout and a mention on Twitter with their handle.
Chefs, meanwhile, like Chris Cosentino of Incanto in San Francisco, are posting Twitter-only specials for their regulars.

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced plans for the world’s first at-sea tweetup for cruise-loving social media enthusiasts.
The SeaTweetup will be a three-night cruise around the Bahamas and is billed by the organizers as the world’s meeting for Twitter users at sea.
The cruise, departing Miami on November 18, will be hosted by Norwegian Cruise Line’s 2,002-passenger Norwegian Sky and is organized by, among others, social media TV show SocialBuzzTV and digital media consultants Social Esquire.

Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, and Burberry are testing the Chinese microblogging service Weibo to research their most promising market of the future from the inside.
The platform, which grows at 10 million users per month, has been attracting an elite of Western luxe brands over the past month, testing ideas for campaigns or other projects directly on their Chinese audience.
“You can immediately see how the market and your following will respond to something if you want to do research” said Leaf Greener, fashion editor of Elle China.

US designer Marc Jacobs‘s CEO Robert Duffy has become a popular Twitter fixture and maybe even a too popular one at that.
With more than 90,000 fans following, the brand is now looking for someone to replace Duffy — via Twitter, of course.
“Were looking for someone to come on and take a job heading our twitter acct and social media. Send something clever for a chance at the job!” he tweeted alongside a Valentine’s Day goodbye picture showing him and Jacobs with puckered lips.

For most people having a luxury jet to yourself is a dream that seems very out-of-reach. Not for multi-millionaire hotel heiress Paris Hilton.
Ms Hilton tweeted a picture of herself yesterday reclining on a bed on her private jet as she flew to Paris, France.
Hilton, was coming from London, about which she Tweeted: ‘I love this city! One of my favorite cities in the world.’

There’s only six days to go until the end of the World Cup. But Paris Hilton obviously feels she needs at least one suitcase full of clothes every day.
As she headed off to South Africa for the final stages of the cup last week the heiress posed atop more than a dozen designer suitcases.
She obviously has a passion for Louis Vuitton - the vast collection of bags all bore the designer’s unmistakable logo.
