Novak Djokovic, the world’s top-ranked men’s tennis player, joined team Audemars Piguet as its latest brand ambassador.
In a secret visit several months ago to the watch company in Le Brassus, Djokovic expressed his high regard for the brand’s latest watches.
The three-time Grand Slam champion stated that he had been deeply impressed by “the beauty and the complexity of the movements,” produced there.

Moet & Chandon will be the official champagne of the US Open, the largest sporting competition in the world.
The sponsorship includes an on-site suite at the US Open, which is held in the Queens borough of New York.
The Moët & Chandon luxury suite will not only serve as a celebration station for attending guests, but host an auction to benefit the corresponding charitable effort titled “Cheers for the Champions.”


When Li Na lifted the French Open trophy in March she not only became the first Chinese tennis player to win a Grand Slam singles title, she also sent advertisers scurrying for the telephone.
Now, just two months later, Li has been rewarded for her efforts with long-term endorsement contracts worth a collected US$42 million.
It is a sign of her growing stature as a sportsperson but also a huge indicator of the growing clout advertisers give to the Chinese market.

Kicking off the 2011 ATP World Tour, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal played the most unique round of tennis ever , in the waters outside of Doha, Qatar.
The tennis stars faced off on a floating court in Doha Bay Sunday, just ahead of the first tournament of the year, the Qatar Open.
The two players were said to have not displayed their regular smashing power as the court was wet. Federer and Nadal only volleyed the tennis ball during the match.

Forbes has unveiled a list of highest-paid tennis players in the world. Half of the top 10 are men and the half women.
Roger Federer tops the list with whole year’s income of 43 million U.S. dollars while Russia’s Maria Sharapova follows him with earning of 24.5 million U.S. dollars.
The rankings are based on players’ prize money, endorsements, exhibitions and appearance fees over the past 12 months without taxes or agent’s fees deducted.
