It is not entirely new, but this morning was the first time that I actually saw this Louis Vuitton commercial on Youtube.
This beautiful little movie, directed by Bruno Aveillan won several awards like one Gold Clio Award 2008 for “Best Cinematography” and one Gold London International Award 2008.
Through this campaign the Haute Couture Icon Louis Vuitton wants to promote the brand itself, and not a specific product.

According to The Daily Mail, Johnny Depp will be paid £32,000,000 (about $56 million) for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean 4. This would make Depp the highest paid actor in film history.
Tom Hanks supposedly made an estimated $50 million for the Da Vinci Code follow-up Angels & Demons. Keanu Reeves holds the record of the highest paid actor of all time after the fact. Reeves made $20 million plus 15% of the gross for the two Matrix sequels, which equals out to an estimated $194 million (or $97 million a film).
But Depp is the franchise. Like Harrison Ford with Indiana Jones, this isn’t a film series where the actor is interchangeable to the character and Disney is smart enough to realize that.
However, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom would not be back for the sequel but there are talks of Captain Jack having a brother in the next movie, possibly to be played by Sacha Baron Cohen or Russell Brand. Also, the new movie might kick off a trilogy, which would revolve around Captain Jack’s search for the Fountain of Youth.
Geoffrey Rush and director Gore Verbinski are apparently both planning to return, but Tim Burton might direct instead : he might have the ability to make the new franchise as fresh and exciting as it was when the first movie came out.
The first three Pirates of the Caribbean films grossed over $2.68 billion worldwide. By that reckoning, $56 million for Depp would be a bargain, as another film is essentially like printing money !
Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is currently aiming for a May 2011 release.

Everybody likes to hear about vastly wealthy people failing, particularly during the credit crunch. That is why Forbes Magazine, well-known for its lists - including its lists of the richest Americans (the Forbes 400) and its list of billionaires - has made a list to see which actors are the most “overpaid”.
The magazine has done some research about how much money Hollywood actors are actually worth – not how much they are paid, but how much profit they generate, compared with how much they are paid.
Forbes got their figures by looking at the last three films each actor had made, and found that Nicole Kidman, whose films have made a dollar for every dollar she was paid, is therefore the “most overpaid” actor in Hollywood.

The question is: would you pay $35.00 a ticket for one movie?
Even if each complex will have theaters with digital projection to screen 2-D and 3-D movies, 40 reclining armchair seats, the ones with footrest, just like home? Except these seats have a service button to call a waiter. Why? Because patrons will be able to have made-to-order meals like sushi and other theater foods from on-site chefs. Oh Reeaaalllyy!! Of course, they’ll have to pay extra for that.
Would you pay $35.00 + even if they have lounges and bars serving cocktails and appetizers, concierge service and valet parking?
These people seem to think so. Village Roadshow Ltd., Act III, Lambert Entertainment and the Retirement Systems of Alabama pension fund will spend $200 million to build 50 theaters nationwide over the next five years to bring us mere mortals the luxury cinema circuit Village Roadshow Gold Class Cinemas. Are you ready to give in yet? I might if I don’t have to wear pearls and a little black dress!
The first two venues are set to open in South Barrington, Chicago, and the Seattle suburb of Redmond in October.
The Burbank-based company’s hoping to attract 10 million “upscale and affluent” consumers per year to its theaters that will be housed in high-end shopping centers and malls. Each complex will typically house eight screens.”It’s a new way to go to the movies,” said Graham Burke, managing director and CEO of Village Roadshow Ltd. “It’s like what Mercedes is to a Toyota or like flying first class in an airplane.” Company execs said bringing the chain to the U.S. is a “natural extension” of the brand.
