
Daimler has unveiled today the official Mercedes SLS AMG F1 Safety Car which will have its debut in Bahrain in the middle of March.
The Mercedes SLS AMG F1 Safety Car is the most powerful of its kind since the racing series began.
Powered by the German power house’s 6.3-litre V8 engine, the Mercedes SLS AMG F1 Safety Car develops 420 kW (571 hp) and 650 Nm of torque.

Ahead of the Geneva Motor Show (March 4 – 14), Mercedes-Benz has released pictures of its latest concept, a car with sliding rear doors.
The F 800 Style research vehicle, dubbed the “sedan of tomorrow,” gives a glimpse into the vision that Mercedes Benz has for its future models.
Most strikingly, the rear doors of the vehicles pivot and slide backwards to allow passenger access, in the same manner as commercial vans commonly seen on today’s roads.

Speed boat makers Cigarette Racing have partnered with Mercedes tuning division AMG to release a speed boat inspired by the new Mercedes SLS AMG.
With 2,700 horsepower on tap, the knife-hulled 46-foot boat is almost five times as powerful as its road-going counterpart.
The power for the Cigarette Racing boat comes from a pair of twin-turbocharged 552 cubic inch 1,350-horsepower Mercury Racing engines.

Mercedes-Benz is now offering special editions of the SL and SLK, both of which feature a stylish interior with numerous sophisticated highlights.
Both of these new special models combine the advantages of a roadster with those of a coupe, and are both thoroughbred sports cars and comfortable everyday cars.
The SL Night Edition is not a reference to when it can be driven but rather to the colours used inside and out.

Mercedes-Benz have worked with famed fashion photographer Nick Knight to shoot the newest Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG campaign.
Given a completely open brief, the english photographer teamed up with Gareth Pugh and model Julia Stegner to create a completely modern aesthetic fitting of the new vehicle, and the brands own aesthetic.


Mercedes-Benz has revealed interior images and some design sketches of the new interpretation of the legendary Gullwing of the 1950s: SLS AMG, a V8-powered supercar under development.
It will be launched in spring 2010.
The supercar will feature an aluminium spaceframe and body with gullwing doors, AMGÂ 6.3-litre V8 front-mid engine developing 420Â kW/571 hp and dry sump lubrication, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission in a transaxle configuration and sports suspension with aluminium double wishbones.
