Maserati has taken the wraps off its highly anticipated new convertible, the GranCabrio. It is the first four-seat convertible in the company’s history
The GranCabrio was designed by Pininfarina, the Italian firm responsible for the other two cars in the Maserati lineup: the Quattroporte and the Gran Turismo.
The GranCabrio is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 with 440bhp and is the convertible with the longest wheelbase on the market.

ExecuJet South Africa and Bombardier Business Aircraft were joint hosts at the recent 2nd biennial Jets & Jewels celebration at Lanseria International Airport.
ExecuJet’s private jet hangar was transformed into an elegant function venue, where 450 guests and celebrities enjoyed a show of the latest fashion lines from Hugo Boss, Armani and Lacoste.
Specialist banking group, Investec, was another key sponsor. Two Learjet 45s and a Global Express were showcased, alongside two gleaming Maseratis.

Lindsay Lohan has been in her third auto collision incident in as many weeks.
While her assistant was driving her around last night, in Glendale, California, the duo had a collision with a Subaru, so her brand-new Maserati Quattroporte, has been damaged just two weeks after purchase.

Another selection of the most powerful and luxury cars presented at Geneva Motor Show.
The Ferrari 599XX is a concept based on the 599 GTB Fiorano, that features new most advanced technologies resulting from Ferrari’s road-going and F1 research.
Many of the technological solutions it carries are being used for the first time and have been developed exclusively for this special car. Particular attention was paid to cutting the weight of the engine unit components.

Maserati has launched the limited edition Momaboma eco-bag, dedicated to all female car-mad fashionistas.

Momaboma is an Italian company that creates handbags and accessories exclusively out of vintage materials, such as old newspapers, magazines and clothes.
These bags are entirely hand-made in Italy, like Maserati cars. They are unique because they are made of old brochures recovered from the Maserati archives: 95-year of history come back to a new life.

At the 2009 North American International Auto Show next month in Detroit, Maserati will be celebrating the 70th anniversary of its first Indianapolis 500 win.
To celebrate the occasion Maserati will unveil a special-edition 2009 Quattroporte Sport GT S, a model that it says is a “a real driving machine in the guise of a luxury sedan”.
The Quattroporte Sport GT S sees an upgrade to 433 horsepower, a tuned suspension, a sports exhaust and styling modifications. It’s expected to cost about $138,000.
