
Men’s magazine Playboy, perhaps the epitome of testosterone-driven tastemaking, has released its pick of the greatest cars of all time.
The magazine, which regularly features motoring news and interviews, compiled the list of its favorite models of all time for the May issue, now on US newsstands.


After previously guest-editing publications including French dailies Libération and Metro, Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld has highlighted his interior design credentials as guest editor of the French edition of Architectural Digest.
The 220-page issue will reach French newsstands April 13, with Lagerfeld’s futuristic Parisian apartment featured on the cover and photographed by him inside.


Elite Traveler, a magazine targeted towards the jet setting, “wealthy elite” has published its ranking of the top 20 restaurants in the world.
The recently launched issue of Elite Traveler’s World’s Top Restaurants magazine gave Alinea the top nod, calling it the best restaurant in the world for its “hypermodern, emotional approach to dining.”
British chef Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck, in Bray came in second for “pushing the boundaries of British gastronomy” and providing a dining experience that excites the senses and reinvents traditional British classics.


Thailand’s capital Bangkok has been named the world’s best city by influential US travel magazine Travel + Leisure.
Announced as part of its World’s Best 2011 Awards issue to be published July 22, the prestigious title was awarded based on the votes of thousands of Travel + Leisure readers who voted for cities around the world.
It is the second year in a row that Bangkok has been named in the top spot, despite a period of civil unrest last year which did considerable damage to Thailand’s international reputation as a tourism haven.

The new Robb Report iPad app will provide access to all of the print magazine’s content when viewed in “portrait” (vertical) format, and unlock a wide range of interactive enhancements when operating in “landscape” (horizontal) mode.

The World Travel Awards, an organization tasked with selecting some of the world’s best travel experiences, has launched a luxury magazine to share its knowledge.
The organization officially launched this week’s Best in Travel online and as an Android app March 24, focusing on “the world’s most glamorous travel experiences.”
Unlike competitors such as Conde Nast Traveler and Wanderlust, it won’t be available on newsstands — the publisher says it reflects a shift from print to web as a source of travel information — but that’s led to some compelling features.
