Orbino, makers of Italian premium technology cases, announced today that it has launched Aria, an extraordinary case for the MacBook Air made out of pure aircraft grade aluminum and premium leather.
Aria, a super-slim, play through case with a modular pocket system, is handmade in Orbino’s Italian workshop. The case sports a sculpted anodized aluminum frame and the finest vegetable tanned Tuscan leathers.
Orbino’s Aria case is available in five luxury colors: Black, Brown, Deep Red, and Orange. Orbino will also offer custom options including custom anodized aluminum colors and finishes, limited edition luxury skins such as genuine Crocodile, Snakeskin, and Ostrich.
The Aria for the MacBook Air can be purchased from Orbino’s online store. Prices start at US$529

All the super rich geeks, watch out for this decked out 24 karat gold MacBook Air with a decorated version of the classic rainbow Apple.
Air is a standard 1.6ghz/2gb/80GB, with a 24-karat gold plating, polished exterior, and flat/crystallite interior. The price: $5000 USD. However you will have to chip in another 3000$ for the rainbow which is 14-karat gold with 3.8ctw sapphires.

“Golden Age” is the name of this new, er, product, the world’s first Apple MacBook Air to be fully crystallised with 12,000 “dazzling” Swarovski elements.
The reason it looks so darn shiny is that the crystals are specially coated with 24k gold from underneath so that the transparent crystals can reflect the true gold colour.
Inspired by a traditional Japanese pattern, each “Golden Age” takes a week to create as each crystal is apparently painstakingly applied one at a time on to the hand-painted surface.
With a limited edition of only 20 pieces worldwide this is described as “undoubtedly the ultimate luxury treat for the person who thought they had everything”. Aside from taste or sense, clearly.
The “Golden Age” is getting a CeBIT debut, but will be shown also at Selfridges, Oxford Street, where the department store will sell one of the 20 “Golden Age” notebooks as of 18th March.

The newly launched MacBook Air will soon see its Windows competition from the manufacturers of IBM with Lenovo ThinkPad X300. At 0.73 inches (1.85 cm) thin and 2.9 pounds (1.3 kg) without its extended battery, it matches the MacBook Air in slimness and weight.
