The fashion world’s love affair with fairy tales continues with Christian Louboutin designing a pair of shoes inspired by Disney’s Cinderella.
The animated picture is being rereleased on Blu-ray and DVD this fall, and in honor of this the French shoe guru will offer an interpretation of the iconic “glass slipper” worn by the movie’s namesake.

Another collaboration between the art and fashion world has been announced, with Jimmy Choo revealing a team-up with contemporary artist Rob Pruitt for a capsule collection of shoes, handbags and leather goods.
Just last month Hermès announced its latest limited edition scarf collaboration will be with Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto, while Christian Dior paired up with German artist Anselm Reyle on a collection of accessories last December.

As Christian Louboutin launches its European online boutique April 11, the luxury shoe label has announced a host of digital innovations for the future including an iPhone app and live chats with the label’s representatives.
The iconic shoe brand suffered so much with sites claiming to be selling genuine Louboutins that in 2009 it issued a warning concerning the problem.

Christian Louboutin has launched a Capsule collection to celebrate the brands 20th anniversary. The collection includes twenty pairs of shoes and six bags.
The French creator has shown his sense of humor by including a “Pilule” bag shaped as an actual capsule.
Giving a new meaning to the term doctor’s bag, the shiny blue and white pill capsule even has “500 mg” stamped in red on the side.

French shoe label Roger Vivier has revealed the launch of a mini-me footwear line, following the increasing popularity of designer childrenswear.
The French footwear label will introduce a line called Roger Vivier – Jeune Fille, or, in English, Roger Vivier – Girl, to its international stores in March.
The line will be a reworking of the house’s brightly colored patent leather adult ballerinas, which carry the brand’s signature buckle.
