Ferrari recently launched a new “One-to-One Personalisation Program” at the Geneva Motor Show.
The program allows buyers to fully customize their car by choosing details and materials they want in consultation with the Italian carmaker’s experts.
The personalization program is inaugurated with the 612 Scaglietti.
Pontiac goes retro with the 2009 Pontiac Solstice coupe, unveiled at the recently concluded New York Auto Show.
With sleek lines and a targa-topped roof, the two-seater coupe took design cues from the Solstice coupe concept exhibited at the same show eight years ago.
The removable roof is made of magnesium and weighs just 14.2 kg (or 31 lbs). Like its convertible sibling, the Solstice coupe is powered by a 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine delivering 173hp, while the GXP version gets a 2.0-liter turbocharged Ecotec with 260hp.
The interiors also get the same treatment as the convertible, except for minor tweaks in design made to the area behind the seats for easy access to the cargo area.
As a two-seat, mid-engine car that can compete with some of the most notable Italian hot rods in size and style, the Raptor S5S has a 5.0L Supercharged engine which puts out 650hp, allowing the car to race from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds.
Unlike other fancy European rides, the Raptor is built to digest cellulosic ethanol making it a clean car as well looking out for the environment.
While the car’s design isn’t extremely unique, the car does sport some aggressive features, like a large front grille and 20-inch rims.
This is a collectors dream and could just be the perfect material for a real Porsche fanatic meant straight for his garage.
Forget pride, this is your chance to make those envy who believed that a Targa from the early nineties in their possession was just about perfect to bear a retro collectors repute.
It belongs to an era where six-cylinders were literally unheard off and those who knew about its ability were baffled by the cost involved.
Alfa Romeo has released another video of its irresistibly attractive Alfa 8C Spider, which was on show at the recently concluded Geneva International Motor Show.
The drop-top version of the Alfa ARomeo 8C Competizione, which came in for special mention when we listed our Luxury Car Selection for 2007, you have to hand it to the designers at Alfa Romeo for making the 8C Spider equally, if not more sexy and desirable than the Competizione.
The 8C Spider is powered by the same 450 hp, 4.7 liter V8 engine as its coupe sibling, complete with carbo-ceramic Brembo brakes and oversized 20” wheels to boost its racecar credentials. Only 500 of these exquisite ivory beauties will be rolled out. Sit back and enjoy the video.
Aston Martin has finally stepped out and announced it will send the sleek and sophisticated V12 Vantage RS into limited production, according to reports in Dutch car magazine Autovisie. The report says that Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, has confirmed that the company will also be rolling out the DBS Roadster. The V12 Vantage RS will be available in Mako Blue, and is expected to hit the roads some time in 2009 loaded with 600 horsepower, that propels it from zero to 60 mph (or 0-100 km/h under four seconds.
With enough carbon fiber bits to leave it weighing in at just 3,500lbs (1,600kg), this makes the V12 Vantage RS the fastest Aston Martin production car to date. Not much information has been released on the DBS Roadster except that it is scheduled for release around mid-2009, though some sneak peeks show that one can expect a soft top car with 512 horsepower behind it.
