Jean-Charles de Castelbajac designs the Christmas lighting for the facade of the BHV (Bazaar de l’Hotel de Ville) department store this year in Paris.
A funky neon-lit facade will be lit up on November 17, with the help of powerful vocals performed by 28-year-old, Arkansas-born Beth Ditto of the group Gossip.

In his collection entitled Rough Diamond, designer Lee Broom transforms vintage furniture in its original condition into Design Art with light.
Club Chair (above) is a traditional Chesterfield that has been spectacularly transformed with fairground jewel light bulbs.
Luminaire Bergère (below) is a one-of-a-kind unfinished Parisian relic that displays the juxtaposition of old and new.

French designer Philippe Boulet offers his illuminated furniture collection to those looking to spark up their life a bit.
He is famous for using LED technology to bring light to antique-looking pieces of furniture, like chairs, tables, commodes and last, but not least, beds.
His latest creation, the Poesy bed, is an amazing example of mixing classic and ultra-modern design, Boulet himself describing it as being a “poem” to modern living.

Designer Wonsik Chae from south korea has created “lighting bag”, a light which imitates (you can’t drink it) the form of a tea bag !
If you put the Lighting Bag in a cup of chemical intermediate, the tea bag will burst into flames, and then the cup is lighting.
“Consisting of a cup filled with a chemical intermediate and a bag containing fluorescent molecules the light works through a catalyst of this chemical reaction.”
