S.T. Dupont, makers of the world’s most expensive lighter, have come out with an equally luxurious lighter inspired by classic Parisian architecture.

Christened the Place Vendôme limited edition Ligne 2 Prestige, this lighter is made from rose gold lighter and is embellished with 192 diamonds.

Defined by its majestic proportions and a strong sense of symmetry it’s one of the most emblematic examples of French 17th century architecture.

In 1810 following his victory at Austerlitz, Napoleon enriched the square by erecting the Vendôme Column.

The venerable Parisian luxury goods firm of S.T. Dupont has come out with the world’s most expensive lighter priced at $79,000.

The Ligne 2 Champagne lighter, part of Dupont’s Prestige Collection, is made of solid 18-carat white gold embellished with 468 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Also available is a matching fountain pen also in solid 18-carat white gold with rhodium finished trims and 502 brilliant-cut diamonds for $74,000.

Accurately engineered, the Forza lighter sports a push-button ignition akin to the car’s ignition button. And the spring-loaded Precision Cigar Cutter with horizontal double blade cuts cigars up to 58-ring gauge with super sharp surgical steel blades.

And lastly, the yellow, fire-spewing dragon features a single action jet flame with scratch-resistant lacquer and shield-shaped fuel level window.
