Italian police have crashed their most valuable patrol car, a $235,000 Lamborghini.
The front end of the Lamborghini was crushed in the accident, near Cremona, and the driver and a passenger were injured, although not seriously.
Reports say the car swerved to avoid another vehicle which crossed into its path, ploughing into two stationary cars. It was damaged beyond repair.

In a recent interview with the German Magazine Automobilewoche, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said that Lamborghini is planning to launch a hybrid Gallardo.
Winkelmann said that, while Lamborghini is planning to go green, it isn’t about to forget about performance and the pleasure of owning a supercar.
The new hybrid will consist of a small electric motor for slow moving urban traffic but will switch to its V-10 or V-12 engine when on the open road.

Check out the brandnew film for Lamborghini featuring Valentino Balboni, the world’s most famous testdriver and the Gallardo special edition, especially made for him and presented by him.
This documercial, made by the agency Philipp und Keuntje weaves a compelling brand story, showing a human side to this amazing piece of machinery.

With 552 hp, a body to die for, and a 0–60 time of 3.2 seconds, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 has little room for improvement.
But there is room for variation, and perhaps the most significant is the new Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni.
The LP550-2 Valentino Balboni is named after Lamborghini’s esteemed test driver, who was hired by Ferruccio Lamborghini himself in 1967, and who has been instrumental in developing the dynamic attributes of every Lamborghini model introduced since 1973.
